Biography: I was born in 1949 in a rural farming area of west central Illinois. Upon completion of high school, I went to Southern Illinois University and received a BS in photography in 1972. I then moved to Arizona where I received a MFA in photography from Arizona State University in 1975. Two yeas later I was a visiting artist in Great Britain for one year and then returned to Arizona where I spent the next 35 years either photographing or involved in the desert landscaping business. In 2007 I returned to my home town to semi-retire and document the people, landscape, and daily life in this rural area of the midwest.
